Glow Up! Winter Skin Tips from with Fluide + Tony Tulve

Fluide Fam makeup artist Tony Tulve, who has created some of the iconic looks featured in our campaigns, sat down to talk all things winter skin + beauty with us. Read on for Tony's top tips on looking and feeling your best during the coldest months of the year on model Asia DeShields!

#1 In the winter, use balms or cream-based products that won't dry or crease on the skin and can be 'reset' or moved during the day. Tony recommends using the Universal Balm under foundation as a hydrating and priming base.

#2 Tony uses Candy Bar + Universal Balm for a buildable crème blush base. Apply product higher up on the cheekbone instead of on the apple of the cheek to brighten the face and create lift!

#3 Highlight with Universal Gloss on the high points of the face, building on the Universal Balm!

#4 For warm + bright winter eyes, Tony uses Candy Bar as an eyeshadow base. Apply Universal Crayons in Rose Rover as eyeshadow and blend outward, before going in with Darq Matter around the crease of the eye to add coolness to the face, and finish with Celestial and an Otherworldly Gem to highlight the inner corner + cupids bow.

#5 For lips, prep lips with balm, and allow it to soak in, layering Liquid Lipstick shades Metro and Candy Bar for longer wear out from the middle.

#6 After putting Big Bang Mascara in Black on upper lashes, try Cerulean on lower lashes concentrated under the iris to make your eyes pop!

P.S. If you’re a real glow-getter, you can turn any shadow from the Otherworldly Palette into more of a crème shadow with the Universal Balm. It can even act as an adhesive base for Quarkle or other glitters!
